CURT class 1 trailer hitches are the lightest-duty hitches of our rear mount receiver lineup. They are engineered for reliability, welded together with quality American steel and blasted clean for a smooth finish. Tested to meet the strict demands of the industry, this CURT class 1 hitch has a capacity to tow up to 2,000 lbs. of gross trailer weight and 200 lbs. of tongue weight. This means it can handle a variety of small trailers such as single-axle utility trailers, canoe and kayak trailers, dirt bike trailers and more. It can also accept a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack, making it a very useful addition to cars with limited cargo space (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc).Class 1 hitches feature a 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" receiver tube opening and are typically mounted on compact cars, full-size cars and some smaller crossover SUVs, minivans and compact SUVs. This particular hitch is designed to be a custom-fit trailer hitch for certain years of the Honda Accord sedan or coupe (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). It features a round tube frame and comes with a hitch pin and clip and all necessary installation hardware. Each CURT class 1 hitch is co-cured with a liquid Bonderite coating and a high-gloss black powder coat finish that provide a lasting defense against rust, wear and harmful UV rays. Like all CURT receiver hitches, this class 1 hitch is made right here in the USA and is backed by a one-year finish warranty and a limited lifetime warranty.

Worked perfectly on our 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring!
The first hitch that was sent out came in a HUGE box with only a little paper around it, so it was all scratched up down to the metal (I'm guessing it was a return to start with). So I called and Amazon is always great...sent out another one...and the 2nd one was PERFECT. Came in an actual CURT original box that was packed perfectly. All the stickers were perfectly straight. VERY PLEASED!
Anyway, the Hybrid Accords have extra "aerodynamic / plastic shielding" that needs to be removed and then trimmed in certain areas. Plus, if a person also has the Mud/Splash Guards (like I did)...it is easier to simply remove the driver's side rear Mud/Splash Guard completely, as there is another Push Pin for the shielding under that Mud/Splash Guard. I've also attached the photos with the exact dimensions that I cut into that "shield" and it came out PERFECT...could not be more pleased...works great with...
Read directions thoroughly and watched video on website to make sure I knew what I was doing. Whole installation would have taken me about 45 minutes, but finished job took me a couple of hours because of necessary removal of plastic underside skirt (material right under trunk, most of which sits on the underside of the driver's side of vehicle). Taking plastic cover involved 5-6 plastic rivets and 3-4 10 mm screws. Removal of plastic cover gave me access to driver side frame rail. Installing trailer was a piece of cake. Reinstalling the plastic skirt was the most time-consuming part of the job (about an hour). I eyeballed parts that I had to trim using a utility knife. First, I trimmed about 2x 4 inches around the existing precut slit around the tow hook of the car. To allow the driver's side arm of the hitch to protrude out of the cover, I cut out a rectangular piece of 1x5 inches. These two modifications to the underside skirt allowed the bulky u-bolt (along with the two flange...
Like others have said, it took longer to peel the ugly stickers off of it than it did to put it on. Installed myself (husband) in about an hour going at an easy pace. I backed my car on to a couple ramps, lowered the exhaust, removed the heat shield, fished the wire through the frame hole, put the bracket and screw through, bolted it on, and put everything back. I didn't have to widen the holes to get the bracket in. A C-clamp was provided to clamp to the car's tow hook. A couple basic tools. 2015 Honda Accord - The top of the receiver is 1 1/2" below the bottom of the bumper. Looking straight down towards the ground from the trunk, the hitch is not visible. I haven't used it yet, but gave it a high rating anyway.
