Be prepared to face non-stop challenges and the ride of a lifetime through the daunting Alaskan wilderness in an effort to complete a mysterious mission
As a game on its own merits, this game is average at best. In fairness, I find most Wii games are of a relatively poor quality with rare exception. The game is nice enough to include a survival mode and level more akin to a simple shooting gallery, so the variety is there. Unfortunately, the graphics look like something mailed in from a PS2 game circa 2002. Also, shots were difficult due to technical deficiencies (noted below)
Technically speaking, the hit detection was decent, but even after playing around with different rooms, lighting conditions, and sensor bar placement, nothing could fix the inherent 'jitter' of the aiming reticule. I think this is more a Wii deficiency than it is the gun attachment, but regardless, it's really annoying when you're zooming in to snipe something. This gun attachment is easily the best of the plastic mold gun attachements I have tried for wii or other systems. It compensated to ensure there was a solid/tight fit and felt...
I was expecting a sequel to dangerous hunts 2011. Similar in ways, but not as good. Designed more for 1 player and not for a group party to sit around and challenege each other in the galleries.
I bought this game mainly for the Top Shot Elite Gun it was bundled with. The game itself is good. Simple and straight forward. See something, shoot it. The gallery mode is easy, my 6 year old has fun with it. The story mode involves getting used to a control sequence that uses the thumbstick on the nunchuk but it's easy to get used to. The game is fun, but not overly inventive. Cabela makes solid games for the light gun genre. No new leaps, but fun and definitely replayable.
