I wear them EVERY DAY to work. I do construction/carpentry. I am lucky if my boots last 6months. These so far, it is February 2015 and NOTHING is wrong with them yet, Tread is good, leather is good, I even ran a saw across one toe down to the steal toe and that cut has never grown nor has it caused problems within the boot. As you can in my pictures the boots are worn but no major problems. I have also never oiled them or repaired them. The last boots I had the tread was nearly bare in 6-7months. These still have plenty of life left, I am very impressed, especially no joke, since I wear them 6 days a week and sometimes even sundays after church depending on what I am doing. UPDATE: 8/19/2015 (bought these April 23, 2014) Almost 16 months to the day, these boots have lasted me this long, just this week the sole came loose as shown in newest pictures. This is the longest boots have ever lasted me. Not to bad for 6 days a week, for 16 months.
Well, I been in the same size 12EE for over 16 years including a military career for 12 of those. I have to say these shoes fit well as width and length. It is the top to bottom or laces that seem tight or "too" close. I find they make me feel like I am crushing my feet when laced up! Loosen them you dummy!- you say. I did, and I keep going till I did not feel the strain on the top of my feet or they were manageable, problem solved well not actually. I find my feet have so much room they are rubbing against the heel of the shoes now; it has become slip and slide without heavy duty socks.
What does all this mean? Well, the shoe fits, but I have pulled what little padding it had and took the insert from my old shoe to make it work for me. I would also like to say it has been a great boot! An excellent soul that grabs the road and study construction, yet pretty lightweight in comparison to other boots I have had. I think it could be one of the smartest buys I have...
I wear a 10.5 and these boots fit fine for length but were beyond narrow. I've never needed a wide width boot before so I believe it may be the cut of this boot but it was very uncomfortable. I'm a landscaper and comfort is a huge selling point over durability for me. I'm usually on my feet 12-13 hours a day walking through wet grass and dirt and no boots ever seem to last so I'm always focused on the comfort level and these were a 2/5 for me. Between the narrow width and the hard sole which didn't provide any cushioning at all these boots were just not for me.
Quality wise these boots seemed to be great. The material seemed to be high quality and the stitching was flawless and looked heavy duty. The weight was comfortable and no heavier than any other steel toed work boot I've owned. The lacing allowed me to get a snug fit on my foot and ankle. Overall they seemed like a quality pair of boots, just not comfortable for my personal preference.
