- GOOD COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH - This ceramic board has high compressive strength at 25% deformation - 78 PSI, Permanent linear shrinkage - 3.5% Max at 2200F when exposed to 24 hours soaking heat, Loss on ignition (LOI) at 1832F: 4-7%
- EASY TO CUT - This fire board can be easily cut with a knife and hacksaw blade and can be drilled and machined; This fiber board is not as strong as fire brick, it dents easily

Upon initial use at specific temperature the organic binder burns and turns the board to brownish giving slight odor. Once the binder is burnt out it will be pure white & odorless.
