Most books written on Numerology are using the Western, also known as the Pythagorean system. It also must be said that too many numerology books are assuming computers or phone apps that will leave us ignorant when the battery on the Mobile phone is low or the computer is broken. Numerology calculations are very simple and the only tools you'd need is paper and pencil. Numerology draws its conclusions from your birth-date and name. There are core numbers and auxiliary numbers. A good numerology system is three faceted. a) it uses the appropriate methods of calculations, b) it uses the correct letter -to-number conversion scheme, and finally c) it has the appropriate description of the numbers at any given stage. Numerology works because throughout the years intuitive people after analyzing numerous cases, had noticed patterns of human behavior and talents used or wasted in well-known people. Numerology (or Astrology) would not work on the Buddha, as he had transcended the typical follies of human existence. It however works on average people who are caught in the revolving door of life/death and reincarnation. Numerology can assist you in selecting a proper career, a proper name for your child, analyzing your mate and friends for more intimate knowledge. Knowing the past intimately would allow us to peek into the future and guide us not to repeat the same mistakes.
