The Channel Master CM6000 Internet-to-TV Coax adapter Kit (kit includes 2 CM-6001 adaptors) is an easy to install solution providing an internet connection to any of the coax cable outlets in the home. Many new TV's, set-top boxes, blu-ray players and game consoles now have internet capabilities and need to be connected to the internet. After getting these products home you may find it difficult to connect them to the internet because you may not have an Ethernet jack by the television or device. With most homes prewired with coax to nearly all rooms, Channel Master's Internet to TV Coax adapter is the perfect solution. Simply connect one adapter to your modem and coax network, then connect the second Adapter to your coax network in another room where internet connection is desired. The internet-to-TV adapters have been designed to allow the home network or internet signal to ride along the same coax as your cable television or terrestrial antenna signals with no interference. This is the most reliable solution without installing new wires and best of all its affordable and easy to install.

The ChannelMaster CM-6000 & CM-6004 work flawlessly with my 30 year-old house's coax cabling. One CM-6000 is ethernet connected to my WAN gateway (2wire gateway from U-verse) and coax connection to the wall. In another room the other CM-6000 is connected to the wall coax and ethernet connection to a Roku3. The CM-6004 is in yet another room... coax to the wall and four devices connected to it's ethernet ports. A Roku3, WDTV Live, desktop pc, and a wifi router with it's own subnet. As soon as all ChannelMaster devices were plugged in and connected they synchronized and all ethernet devices were talking to each other.
I had trouble with TV service through AT&T U-verse. They told me I needed to rewire the house with higher quality coax cable. Instead I dropped TV service (switched to internet service only) and bought a CM-6000 & CM-6004. I am using that coax cable now to deliver ethernet to two separate locations in the house. No need to run Cat-5/6 or new coax cable...
I extended my internet connection from my home office to the master bedroom via standard Cat5 network cabling but I wanted to extend my network to our family room. My first option was to run Cat5 through the attic, not a pleasant task. Second thought was to run it on the outside of the house to the family room. Since I had an existing Coax connection (from my satellite dish now disconnected) I thought why not use the existing cabling in my Networking scheme. And the ChannelMaster units made it happen. One unit set up in the master bedroom the other in the family room provides 100 Mbps connection speeds! Now I have my Windows7 Media Center PC directly cabled to my Internet router!
Paired this with a CM-6004. I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting an Ethernet quality connection over coaxial cable. I have a networked Denon AVR, a PS3, HTPC, and Fire TV in a media closet with only 1 coaxial cable from an outside xfinity Internet service drop. I was able to combine two coax cables from adjacent rooms to establish my modem/router Internet over coax in my office and hook up a downstream OTA antenna to my other 3 rooms with Fire TV/stick and my networked media closet. I'm very happy with this setup and the stability of a wired connection. No more priority issues with my wireless devices while slinging moves on my wired network. I would highly recommend this solution to anyone looking for an upgrade. Be sure to also add a low pass filter at the OTA to avoid losing your MoCa converted Internet signal quality.
