Monet painted over 2000 works during his life. Their titles include useful everyday words. Whether youâ€™re taking the kids to France or teaching a first course in French, Monetâ€™s life & paintings offer a unique opportunity for children to learn some simple French whilst looking at colourful, inspiring art.
Artwork selection has been carefully considered. It works chronologically, it includes popular paintings and, crucially, once introduced the title vocabulary reappears later on. So in the latter half of the book children can easily translate titles themselves based on what they have learned in the first half. This reinforces learning, empowering a sense of achievement from the off. Itâ€™s a confidence building can-do approach to learning.
