Clayton 672-611J 6-Inch Multi-Hole Backup Pad for Random Orbital Vacuum Sanders

Clayton backup pads are designed specifically for vacuum sanding. The large number of holes provides a huge amount of airflow when the pad is used on a self generated sander or a sander connected to a vacuum source. the J-Hook backing holds the abrasive slightly off the surface of the pad, creating micro channels for the dust to migrate through the abrasive, through the hooks, and to the nearest vacuum hole. The hook backing accepts conventional hook and loop abrasives, but for best dust collection use Mirka Abranet, Clayton DustMaster Supreme, or 3M Clean Sanding discs. This pad is balanced to work on 6" sanders made by Clayton, 3M, Mirka, Dynabrade, and other sanders that accept a 5/16 inch threaded mounting stud. This pad is durable and is standard issue for US Navy Corrosion Control. Max RPM 12,000
