1/2 LB Powdered Silkworm Food (Mulberry Food)

Silkworm food is sold in powdered and pre-made form. The mulberry based food is one of only two food sources you can feed silkworms. Our food is as close to fresh mulberry leaves you can get. Silkworms have very specific food requirements and will only eat fresh mulberry leaves or our food. This comes in a dry, ready to make mix (just add water). Our food will allow you to keep silkworm's year around to feed your treasured pets. The food contains everything a silkworm needs to sustain life and go through its life cycle. Powdered mulberry food is a "just add water" mix that can be cooked up in the microwave in 5 minutes, available in ½lb and 10lb bags. All dry food comes with detailed cooking instructions. Once the silkworm food is ready to feed, a thin layer of Silkworm food is grated over the top of the worms. The silkworms will immediately crawl to the top and chow down on the food. Food will stay fresh for a month in the refrigerator after cooking up. See care products for our silkworm food graders. Pre-made mulberry food ships ready to feed in a 16oz cup or 1lb by weight. The food is ready to use out of the box and should be stored in the refrigerator. The food should be grated over the silkworms with our silkworm food grater available under care products. 1/2 lb dry food will make 2 lbs of wet food. You will need 1-2lbs of powdered food per 1000 small silkworms to grow them to cocoon.
