1. Who is Cocoboo?

We are a new, Eco-friendly company who is constantly trying to improve and provide more value to our customers. Our mission is reconnecting people with nature, inspiring a cleaner world with less plastic. We feature beautiful handmade crafts from local artisans in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand that is eco-friendly, sustainable, renewable, reusable, organic, made from love, made from 100% natural fibers like seagrass, bamboo, water hyacinth.

 

2. Story of Seagrass

Seagrass is wild grown, flowering plants that float on top of coastal waters and rivers in Vietnam. They're sustainable, grow very fast, and are plentiful. With the mission of being an eco-friendly brand, we use seagrasses as it is a natural resource and no harmful chemicals had been added to produce our belly baskets. The tradition of hand sown baskets has been passed down from many generations of ethnic Vietnamese villages.

 

3. Usage advice

• Cocoboo seagrass basket is handmade, so they may not perfectly circular and the size may vary slightly 1-2 inches.
• Basket can be used in two ways: handles out or folded down as bowl style basket.
• Seagrass is a flexible material, so filling items inside them can maintain the beautiful shape.
• If using as a planter, use a liner, in order to maintain the quality. If water seeps into the seagrass, it will get mold and be ruined.

 

4. Size

• Medium: Centre Diameter 11 inches (diameter) by 10 inches (height), (27 cm x 26cm) with opening size: 8 inches (21 cm).
• Large: Centre Diameter 14 inches (diameter) by 13 inches (height) (35cm x 32cm) with opening size: 11 inches (31 cm).
• X-Large: Centre Diameter 16 inches (diameter) by 4 inches (height) (40cm x 36cm) with opening size: 13 inches (34 cm).
