The re-release of these classics and rarities has met an enthusiastic reception from music-lovers and critics alike. After the change from EMI Classics to Warner Classics the series is being continued under the name COLOGNE COLLECTION. Lehárs Paganini was the beginning of his break with operetta tradition, including more sophisticated music and more serious subjects typically found in operas. Paganini, which tells a tragic story from the life of the famed violinist, has gained the popularity it deserved over the years thanks to its big tenor hits and expressive romantic duets.
