It is operated by a photo sensor that automatically turns on in the dark and turns off when it is light. The photo sensor can be disabled to manual set the nightlight to high/medium/low/off settings. It includes full dimming features as well as three pre-set levels to easily match light levels on the device. The thermoplastic top and back-body are virtually unbreakable to ensure years of usage.
