100-Wide Black. Scores of anime, manga, and comics artists as well as landscape, product, architecture, and fashion designers prefer Copic markers because of their ultra-blendable, low odor, alcohol based inks. Unlike water-based inks, which tend to pill and oversoak the paper while blending, Copics mix on the surface to deliver the wonderfully rich blends they’re known for. This outstanding performance has distinguished Copic markers as the celebrated coloring tool within professional, semi-professional and hobby circles alike.

I bought a couple of these from Michael's. They produce a heavy and wide swath of blackness across the page. Using 50 pound sketch paper there is absolutely no bleed-through. This is much better than you'll ever get from most other markers, especially Sharpies.
As with a lot of art supplies Amazon sells, watch the price on this product. As of this writing it was priced at $10.49, which is way above the list price of $8.99. Michael's charged me $7.99 a marker. I'm just trying to keep Amazon honest. They really like jacking up prices way above list for art supplies. Notice how they never even post the list price. Caveat emptor.

I bought a wide Copic Marker to make a wide stripe on cards and journal pages, so I could write on it with my favorite white pen. I meant to get a black one, in hopes that it would look a little like a chalkboard.(A look I'm really crazy about). But it was locked up and the sales-dude gave me a dark brown one, instead of black. I didn't notice until I got home, and then couldn't resist trying it out. I fell in love with how quick and easy it was to make a little banner, or title block with this big flat, fat marker. It's really cool. I don't use it that often, but it's really nice to have, when I need it.
See my video here, (get the Puffin Browser, if you are on an iPad, so you can view Flash Videos!) to see how I use this marker in cards and in my Art journal to make "waves."
The white pen is an EXTRA FINE POINT Sharpie WATER-based Paint Pen...
They are awesome, Made in Japan. There is also a sketchbook copic edition app for Macs. I am using this for Islamic Calligraphy.
