I have homeschooled for 13 years, and have come to question if I was requiring too much or not enough from my kids. I love mastery, am a curriculum lover, and have two very different learners. These are just three (of the many) reasons I am struggling with balance. Lee's book brought clear definition to some specific issues, questions, and doubts I was having. I was given wise direction for getting thing in better balance - laced with lots grace & understanding (no judgment or condescension). Thank you, Lee, for more excellent mentoring!
I am guilty of not balancing my homeschool, resulting in burnout. This little read helped me realize my struggles with overcompensating a child in a weak area, over scheduling due to "grandiose thinking", and the guilt of not finishing every problem and every lesson in a book. Finding margin in my homeschool day and understanding that 6-8 hours is the "absolute most" I would need to provided an excellent education for my children has inspired me to schedule more effectiviely for the next school year. Thank you, Lee Binz, for sharing your knowledge and empowering me with fresh ideas for the new school year.
Everything Lee Binz writes is beneficial to Homeschool parents and kids alike.
