Debating in the Middle Grades

Debating in the Middle Grades is designed to teach students the debate process and procedures as well as how and when to apply these strategies to a variety of debate activities and formats. A glossary of important terms and a simulation are provided. The simulation may be used as a guide for understanding the debate process, a model for an actual debate and/or a handout to help students prepare for their own debate experience. More than 100 debate topics are included in this resource.
