There are six different models of disc drives for XBOX 360. Please make sure you match your existing drives model number before you buy. This drive will work for DG-16D2S and DG-16D2S-09C models only. Furthermore, this disc drive is not plug-and-play. Microsoft has synced all drives to your main XBOX 360 motherboard. You must swap the circuit board from inside of your original drive into the replacement drive. If you do not swap the circuit board then this drive will only play CDs and DVDs. To swap the circuit board you will need a Phillips screwdriver and a soldering iron. The firmware revision printed on your drive is irrelevant. Microsoft has updated all 74850C, 83850C and 93450C firmware to 02510C. This drive will replace any 74850C, 83850C and 93450C drive.
