These shelf pins from D.H.S. have a sleek profile which allows the shelf to come right up against the side of the cabinet, making for the cleanest possible appearance.

The shaft of each shelf peg is 5mm in diameter and is 5/16" in length, giving you plenty enough "bite" to support most loads. The "spoon" part that actually projects into the cabinet is an unobtrusive 5/16" wide x 7/16" deep. Again... perfectly up to the task of handling any normal load.
