This Ulu knife is handmade in Alaska by the North Star Knife & Ulu Company. Our knives are made in central Alaska where temperatures can reach -60 degrees in winter. To withstand this harsh environment they are made from top grade materials and with attention to detail.

ProcessThis uniquely folded and forged Damascus steel is heat-treated to a measured hardness between 55 and 60. Damascus layers range from 196 to 225.
Care Instructions Be sure to oil the blade from time to time to reduce oxidation on the high carbon steel.
