Who's the sinner and who's the saint?

After divorcing her cheating ex-husband years ago, 42 yr old Lauren McCarthy is upset to find herself attracted to a married man. Or at least, 42 yr old James Gallagher says he's married, even though Lauren has never seen a wife. Every time Jim puts his hands on her, she thinks if Jim would only trust her with his secrets, she might be willing to risk her saintly reputation to be in his arms.

About the NEVER TOO LATE series

Tired of younger heroines and heroes getting all the action? How about something different? The Never Too Late series is a collection of six sexy, romantic comedies about finding love and romance after turning 40 and 50.

These contemporary romances are intentionally heavy on humor and light on tears. The heroines are successful in life, but not successful in love, as their friends are quick to point out. The heroes are drool worthy, confident, and know what it takes to make a woman feel loved and wanted.

Book 1: Dating A Cougar
Book 2: Dating Dr. Notorious
Book 3: Dating A Saint
Book 4: Dating A Metro Man
Book 5: Dating A Silver Fox

For those of you looking for pregnancy angst free stories... this one is not for you.

When a 42-year old divorced woman (predictable cheating husband) who is actively dating but is "too busy" to schedule an appointment for birth control for her still fertile uterus, the reader already knows the outcome for this kind of selectively ridiculous stupidity.

I started looking for older/Boomer-focused romances so that I wouldn't have to waste my time reading a romance genre (pregnancy/baby) that I have no interest in reading.

This could have been an inspiring fun read. The main characters were engaging, gleefully quirky as only adults in their mid and late 40s can be, and likeable. You wanted them to get past all the emotional and moral junk and just give it all up for Love.

But, no. The focus on these two wonderfully complex characters was pimp slapped into the background and the pregnancy threat formula was dumped in at around 40% into the... Read more
This third book was not nearly as steamy, nor well-written as the first two. The use of the word notorious got old in book 2, but really grated every nerve in my body is this book, especially with the heroine (and hero) being celibate for many years. I was also disappointed once the secret was revealed. That was it? Lame!!! Even though I enjoy older characters, I'll be taking a break from the Notorious Series (which is really what they should be called). On a positive note, this series is not a collection of cliffhangers. Even though the characters know each other, each book focuses on a different couple and can stand alone. For that reason, I will give book 4 a try after I take a break.
While I really like this series about ladies over 40 (I could identify with Lauren somewhat) I didn't care for the part where she attacked Jim physically with martial arts. We are taught this for self defense- never to attack; Jim's life was difficult enough risking serious injury. I could understand her frustration because she was unaware of his wife's medical condition and he felt guilty about his feelings for Lauren. She could've handled it differently since she knows he is basically a good man to force him to step up. More interaction with the ex and Lydia trying to derail their relationship could've been added sooner. Also at the product launch party Casey & his security crew has it controlled. Lauren risked her unborn child when she attacked the ex. However I love the tight friendship with the other notorious ladies. Casey & Alexa's story is still the best, I could so get into their story. However, I have to look at Cannolis in a different light now-thanks Donna... Read more
