It's not unusual for Carter Drayson to be swayed by a pretty face. The artisan baker is a connoisseur of feminine beauty, and when sweet, delicate Lorraine walks into Lillian's bakery, he thinks only of how soon he can have her. Little does Carter know that she is Lorraine Hawthorne-Hayes, heiress to a jewelry dynasty. And he never expected her to make him feel this way….
Lorraine is wary of Carter with good reason—too many men have fallen in love with her bank account and not her heart. But Carter has a fortune of his own, and in his arms Lorraine discovers a passion she's never known. Is she just his treat of the week? Or will the perennial player actually become her lifetime love?

This was a really great book. I started reading this book a while back and for some reason was not able to get into it so I never finishied it. Then after reading the first book Decadent Dreams, I was determined to keep reading the series in order and started reading this book again and I was prepared to not be interested again and have to force myself to finish it. Boy, was that NOT that case at all. I wasnt able to put the book down. Carter and Lorriane's story drew me in and wouldnt let me go. Again we have a woman that isn't able to stand up to her family and be her own person and it takes the man she falls in love with to help her. That is what Carter does for Lorriane but Lorriane also helps Carter who was the ultimate PLAYBOY before meeting her. They both changed for the better because of eachother but even still almost let eachother slip away because of pride, foolishness and misunderstanding. But thankfully they come to their senses and work things out. Again great book and...
Love it. This series was just was great. Farrah Rochon did a great job with Delectable Desire. Each book had me wanting to go get a cake or cupcakes. I love how each person found there inner strength.
In this second installment of the Drayson series, Carter Drayson is the next Drayson grandchild to feel cupid's arrow. This baker finds himself enamored of the beautiful Lorraine Hawthorne-Hayes after she comes into the bakery to order a cake for her sister's bridal shower. To say sparks were flying, I am surprised Lillian's Bakery did not catch fire. Carter had his work cut out dealing with Lorraine's insecurities, her mother's interference and Carter's own issues with his family. Add the bakery contest, cousin rivalry, a possible job opportunity and falling in love makes for a good read.
Ms. Rochon did a good job with character development where the readers will experience several emotions and will want to do harm to some of the secondary characters in this book. The storyline was well written, flowed and stayed on course.
