Diary of a Drug Addict

"Diary of a Drug Addict" is a companion piece to "Black Tar: For The Love of Heroin." Both highlight the heroin addiction of a former junkie as he reflects upon his drug-addicted life; from his days experimenting with "gateway drugs" to his spiraling descent, through every available illegal drug, into the hell of heroin addiction. From a manageable addiction, heroin pushes him to lose everything he owns to the point where he is homeless, jobless and living under a highway bridge downtown. At his lowest point, suicide seems to be the only way out, but when he finally hits rock bottom he realizes that despite his misery, his life is still salvageable, which means salvation is possible. If only he can stay away from the needle and use this second chance to pursue a clean, sober, life...
