DoggieBeerBones are handmade with spent malted barley, peanut butter, barley flour, eggs, and water. They do NOT contain any wheat, soy, corn, hops, alcohol, additives, or preservatives, and are baked in a food grade commercial kitchen in silicone molds. Longer bake times are used to ensure the treats contain low moisture. Please treat responsibly and consult your veterinarian to find out if your dog has any allergies to these ingredients.
The different colored bones come from the all-natural spent brewing grain and are dependent on the beer style that was brewed. For example, a Stout beer will have a much darker grain bill which will make a dark, hearty treat.

The Process - From Beer to Dog Treats
The beer brewing process begins by mashing malted barley in warm water. During this time, the starch in the barley is converted to fermentable sugars.
Next, the fermentable sugars are separated from the barley (now spent) and are drained into the boil kettle to eventually become beer.
The spent malted barley is now ready to be baked into treats in an FDA-approved commercial kitchen. Once baked, the treats are shipped to Partnerships With Industry, a San Diego-based non profit company that provides employment to adults with disabilities, to be packaged and delivered to your best friend!
