Description

  • The 1N5408 is a high-current general-purpose silicon rectifier diode rated for 3 A continuous forward current and 1000 V reverse voltage, ideal for high-voltage, high-current AC to DC conversion. It has a typical forward voltage drop of ~0.85–1.1 V and can withstand up to 200 A surge current for short durations. Designed for low-frequency rectification (50/60 Hz), it’s widely used in power supplies, battery chargers, and protection circuits. Its DO-201AD package ensures excellent heat dissipation and mechanical durability.
