- 8-universe eDMX to SPI pixel controller with standalone FX mode and an added overdrive feature capable of transmitting up to 16 universes of SPI data in a compact 4-module DIN-rail form factor.
- Dual pixel outputs with Data and Clock support. Supports up to 16 universes of Art-Net, sACN, ESP, and KiNet.
- Multiple pixel output protocols are supported. Pre-listed supported protocols*: APA 104, GS8208B, SPXL (16-bit & 8-bit), SK6812, TM1804, TM1812, TM1814, UCS1903, UCS2903, UCS2904, UCS8903 (16-bit & 8-bit), UCS8904* (16-bit & 8-bit), WS2811, WS2812, WS2812B, WS2813, WS2815, WS2818*, AHL003 (16-bit & 8-bit), SJ1221(16-bit & 8-bit), TLC5973(16-bit & 8-bit).
- Ability to create custom pixel output protocols (criteria apply, see user manual). Expandable network with daisy-chaining through Ethernet connections. DHCP or Static IP address support.
- Grouping functionality to reduce input channel count. Intuitive device configuration and updates through the built-in web interface.
- Surface or TS35 DIN rail mounting options. Identify/Reset button for quick wiring verification without a network connection. UL Certification (Serial numbers 2374307 or higher are now UL listed).
- (Overdrive Mode) With the inclusion of the innovative Overdrive mode, the OCTO Mk2 can now be configured to output more than 4 universes per port. This development enables users to manage a higher universe output count, adapting to varied usage requirements and preferences. However, it is crucial to note that utilizing Overdrive mode may result in a lower maximum FPS (frames per second). Consequently, users are encouraged to evaluate their individual needs to determine the suitability of Overdrive mode for their specific situations.
- (Standalone Mode) The OCTO Mk2 now also boasts a Standalone mode, complemented by an inbuilt FX engine, allowing users to create and edit gradient effects with real-time previews seamlessly. This feature empowers users to execute modifications effortlessly via the device’s web interface, which promises a smooth and intuitive editing experience. Furthermore, the OCTO Mk2 can be configured to run in Standalone mode upon power-up, thereby eliminating the necessity for an external DMX source.
