- Provides strength to maintain barrier and wound closure integrity.
- Provides 99% protection in vitro for 72 hours against organisms commonly responsible for SSIs. Clinical significance unknown.
- When used in addition to sutures, was shown ex vivo to add 75% more strength to the wound closure than sutures alone.
- 2-octylcyanoacrylate topical skin adhesive in a single use, 0.7 mL ampule
- Sterile, factory sealed box of 12
DERMABOND ADVANCED Adhesive is intended for topical application only, to hold closed easily approximated skin edges of wounds from surgical incisions, including incisions from minimally invasive surgery, and simple, thoroughly cleansed, trauma-induced lacerations. It may be used in conjunction with, but not in place of, deep dermal stitches.
