Living in Florida and working outside sucks in the summer time. I literally sweat from the time I step outside till the time I get home. Needless to say, the family jewels are smuggling butter. Last year I purchased a bunch of the Under Armour heatgear boxer briefs. They did not keep the boys cool. I stumbled across ExOfficio at Bill Jacksons. What first caught my eye was the add saying how you only need two pair for a 6 week vacation. I did some research and found that other sites, including Amazon sold them. They are rated as one of the best, if not the best selling underwear and had the best review. Under Armour and Adidas were the other top sellers. I already know that Under Armour sucks, and I don't know how I feel about wearing underwear that is designed by a company that is more known for athletic shoes. ExOfficio costs a bit more than both these other pair, but you get what you pay for. I decided two buy two pair. I purchased them from Amazon for $20 a piece. The company had a...
After reading several reviews mentioning piling and fabric issues, I was hesitant, however, on average it seemed like most buyers gave a good rating so I went ahead and ordered them. I purchased one in order to test it, since I originally intended to buy 3 to use on a 15-day/400 km/250 mile trek, and to my huge disappointment, after wearing under jeans for one day, these boxers are already looking as if they were several weeks old. Yes, they are breathable, and yes, they are comfortable, then again, they are new, so they should. Maybe the appearance shouldn't matter, after all it's underwear and probably after extended use they would end up looking like they do now anyway, but if this is an indication of the quality of materials, I wonder if that whole "17 countries, 6 weeks" printed on the box isn't highly over promising and very misleading. At $29 or more a piece, it's fair to expect a MUCH better product. I wouldn't recommend this if you are expecting a high...
Very comfortable, and feel very "breathable." Everything stays in place, if you follow me. My main concern is that the fabric has already started to pill after the first wash. Not badly, but it is there and unsightly. It makes me question the "longevity" of the briefs, if the pilling gets much worse.
Buy a smaller size than you normally use. I bought the Medium (32" waist) and I could literally hike them up to my chest. The small fits great.
