Description:

The French door divider spring fits most Samsung French door style refrigerators. The spring applies tension between components in the refrigerator, which engages and retracts the door flap. This will allow the door to close properly. If the spring is broken, damaged, or faulty the door flap will swing open and block the door from closing, and you should look to replace the part straight away to prevent further damage to the door. The spring is a replacement part, is made by Dinghosen, and measures at 1 1/2" long. This part is also known as a refrigerator door mullion spring.

INSTALLATION:

The spring has two vertical ends to it, one is a 90 degree angle and the other is a bit crooked before it goes up a 90 degrees. The straight 90 degree angle side should face the bottom.

To install it, you need to put the top crooked side in first, pull the flap as much as you can toward the refrigerator and then install the bottom side. The spring should keep the flap flush to the door.
