In a recent test completed on (9/1/19) the Fire Fly fire starter with a 6mm by 2 inch ferro rod exceeded 2000 strikes. By 2500 strikes the flint was almost completely gone. Incredible performance from this size fire steel ferro rod. Hardened Steel Striker attached by paracord and not leather. In actual tests leather was found to rot in wet weather.
