Foredom's 1/6 HP, 110 volt universal flexible shaft machine runs in forward & reverse rotation at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. The M.SR is reliable, powerful, and versatile. It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging, along with the standard 39" long key-tip inner shaft and outer sheath for connecting to any of Foredom's 20+ interchangeable, quick disconnect handpieces (sold separately); plus an FCT foot control. DO NOT plug into a wall outlet directly (must be used with a Speed Control). Caution: When using screw top mandrels with unmounted polishing wheels, the reverse feature may unscrew the mandrel screw that holds the unmounted wheel onto the mandrel. Use only pre-mounted polishing wheels that are permanently mounted on mandrels when using the reverse feature. Runs both forward and reverse. CSA listed.

Motor Details: 1/6 HP; features all of the power needed to accomplish almost any job on nearly any material without stalling or slowing down while under normal load.

FCT Foot Control Details: The reliable foot control is Foredom's most popular speed control. It features solid state circuitry in a heavy duty plastic housing with an extra wide footprint, low profile, and non-skid pads on the bottom. It provides smooth control throughout the entire speed range. CSA listed. Measures 7" long x 4-1/2" wide x 2-3/8" high.

Advantages of Running in Reverse:

Left handed users have more control of the cutting tool.

The reverse design helps keep dust and other debris flying away from right-handed users.

Alternating the motor direction often helps to extend the life of certain abrasives, and makes it easier and faster to polish your metals and materials.

It helps to accomplish very symmetrical grinding and carving techniques.

The reverse function also makes it easier to back out any stuck drill bits.
