A macro extension tube is a wonderful substitution to expensive macro lenses. It maintains the original optical quality while transforming the lens into a macro lens. It is far more desired then the add-on close-up lenses, which will alter the optical quality. The extension tube will work with all Fujifilm X-Mount cameras and lenses.
The camera mount coupling adapter and lens mount coupling adapter can be used independently of the extension tubes or you can add in the tubes for extreme Macro photography. Because no other optical components are added with this kit, the image preserves the original optical properties of the lens. This is an affordable and simple way to turn your existing lens into a MACRO LENS. This tube set includes a lens-coupling ring and a body-coupling ring; three extension tubes of various sizes are also included to build up to the desired magnification. Life size image can be achieved with this set up. See details specification at the table below. Specs are based on a 50mm f1.4 lens.
Compatible Cameras (including, but not limited to) Fuji X-Pro1, X-E1, X-M1, X-A1, X-E2, X-T1
The extension ring set has no electrical contact, so you will have to set your camera in manual focusing and manual exposure, or aperture priority mode for metering.

The tube does not work because it will not connect with (or properly hold) a lens. It connects and locks correctly with the camera. It will not connect with the lens because of the tube's design, not the particular tube I have.
The problem is the locking pin is about 20 degrees from where it should be to lock into the lens' groove/slot. So, it will not lock the lens in place, and the lens falls out. This happens with all three Fuji X series lenses I own: (a Fuji X series 35mm, 18-55mm zoom, and a 55-200mm zoom).
Bottom line: I can put a lens into the extension tube, but the tube's locking pin never engages. If I let go of the lens, it falls out. I tried this on three separate Fuji lenses with the same result.
Yes, I am aligning the red dots. I actually measured where the pin is versus where it should be to work.
But wait, there's more.
While this item is designed specifically for a Fuji X mount lens, even if it could mount...
Whatever you do, do not attach this to one of your Fuji lenses. You should know your lens won't work with this tube set cutting off the power to your lens anyway... But just in case!
This items scores just above the "I hate it" single star because, attached to my OM adaptor it works! I was happy with it. I had to apply quite a bit of pressure to get it on... but when it was attached it worked.
The problem comes when you try to take your lens back off. The adaptor simply will NOT budge. No matter what I try, I cannot separate the adaptor from the tube set. I live in Indonesia, so the idea of returning this is out of the question, but if I lived in the States, I most certainly would. Instead, I will have to buy a new adaptor so I can use that lens again without the tube set. Fotodiox generally has a pretty good reputation - maybe I got unlucky. My adaptor has never had a problem going on or off the camera, so it is certainly not the fault of the...
I bought this set of extension tubes despite a lot of low ratings. I figured for the price, ($14.00 incl. shipping), it won’t be too bad even if it does not work. I was pleasantly surprised, after playing around with it, how it actually works perfectly. I have a Fuji X-M1 and used the 16-50mm kit lens for my testing.
This set of extension tubes is actually comprise of 5 pieces, 1 camera mount (attaches to your camera), 1 lens mount (attaches to your lens), 1 each of the following tubes - 7mm, 14mm, & 28mm (which screws in between the camera mount and lens mount. You can also not use the tubes and just screw the lens mount into the camera mount.
The issue that worried me the most was the lens getting stuck in the lens mount. Fortunately, this did not happen to me. The lens mounted snugly with the lens mount and clicked into place after rotating clockwise. To remove, I simply pull the lens release knob back on the lens mount and twist the lens...
