The objective is to design products from the very beginning, so that once they have reached the end of their useful lives, they can be easily reintroduced into the biological cycle or be recycled to a very high degree, turning them back into usable raw materials. We are not only concerned here with the use of environmentally friendly ingredients, but also the production methods, packaging, packaging labels, adhesives and inks must be taken into consideration. The focus is on all of the components of a product. This is why Frosch develops innovative vegetable-based detergent formulas that are free of all harmful substances.

The concept of closed cycles is also evident when it comes to packaging materials. During the manufacture of packaging Frosch ensures that the packaging materials are not just recyclable, but also that the valuable raw material PET, which can for instance be found in the German "yellow sack" recycling collections, is used in the manufacture of new detergent bottles.
