The Gears EdS Heavy Metal Chassis (HMC) - Belt Drive is one of the toughest educational robot chassis available. The HMC is offered in a standard chain drive or belt drive, both of which are made with rugged, industrial-strength components. This platform is quick and easy to construct, and it integrates easily with existing construction kits and control systems, including the Gears EdS Brain and Sensors Package, LEGOÂ®, NXTÂ®, VEXÂ®, and Parallax, as well as sensors and other accessories. The HMC - Belt Electronics kit adds a 4-pack alkaline AAA battery pack, a 12V NiMh 1600mA battery with charger, high-current motor controller, and controller with receiver. By combining the industrial grade materials of bulkhead plates, a hardware kit, timing pulley drive system, and 19.7:1 (9.6V) gearhead motors, the HMC-Chain Drive mobile robot kit can support 200lbs of standing weight! The Gears EdS Heavy Metal Chassis (HMC) - Chain Drive kit includes two (2) 19.7:1 (9.6V) gearhead motors, four (4) 4" Shore A molded rubber wheel assemblies, industrial grade metal hardware kit, 4-pack alkaline AAA battery pack, a 12V NiMh 1600mA battery with charger, high-current motor controller, timing pulley drive system, and controller with receiver, a DEPCO Construction Manual with CD, and tool kit. Assembly is required.
