no tax and free shipping! lasted my husband over a year. he is in construction, road work infact and they are the best pair he has ever had according to him.
Although the boots look good and appear to be well constructed, I failed to anticipate the import of 'unlined rear quarters'. The lack of lining in this area exposes the very rough overlap of components and stitching, the result of which could hardly be more abrasive to your ankle and heel. It couldn't have cost that much more to have lined this area, and such lining would have made this an excellent pair of boots.
The soles on most Georgia boots are junk. I've had three pairs of Georgia boots, from the Georgia Giant boots to the Mud Dawgs, and they were very comfortable and lasted almost one season each, before the soles simply fell apart. On my last pair of Georgia Giants, one day I noticed that the right boot felt a little differently, and I looked and a four-inch chunk of the sole had simply detached from the boot. I tugged on the rest of the sole, and other chunks started coming off. It was almost like they had an expiration date. I don't normally trudge through gas, oil, or solvents, just mostly use them around the back 40 and on construction projects. I'd get them resoled, since they are so comfortable, but resoling costs more than the boots did new. On my Mud Dawgs, the rubber part of the shoe just started cracking one day and coming apart where they were stitched to the leather uppers. It's a shame, because I really like the boots, but the soles are just super-cheap and didn't...
