The techniques are a little different than in this country but everything is very well explained. A good addition to a sewing library. Make you think "What if and what would happen if I" type of sewing.
I am really into goldwork and this is among the best books I own. Please see the above images. Ms. Pyman is a prolific needle worker and writer and she did not author this entire book but edited it. The Chapters are titled and authored as follows:

Chapter 1 Introduction by Kit Pyman
Chapter 2 Goldwork
Chapter 3 Appliqué by hand and machine
Chapter 4 Machine embroidery with metal threads
Chapter 5 Lettering
Chapter 6 Church Embroidery
Chapter 7 Beadwork and Tambour beading and the use of sequins, jewels, glass and stones.

I loved this book. Lots of inspiration.
