- Gesso is formulated to be flexible and is highly pigmented to provide an opaque, white surface that is toothy and semi-absorbent. Gesso can be mixed with acrylic colors to produce a range of colored grounds
- For oil painting, a minimum of 3 coats are recommended to prevent oil from penetrating the underlying support

GOLDEN White Gesso is a ready-to-use liquid ground formulated for the use of acrylics on any commonly used painting surface. It is flexible and can be applied in thin layers to conform to a variety to textured surfaces without cracking. For oil painting over acrylic gesso, it is recommended that at least three layers of gesso be applied. GOLDEN Gesso can be mixed with GOLDEN Acrylics to produce a range of colored grounds.
