Gonzo James Booker Live 1976

Gonzo presents Two CDS of previously unreleased recordings from the King of New Orleans piano players, James Booker. 34 live tracks, plus three bonus tracks from a French Vogue EP including the Number 3 R&B Hit from 1960,Gonzo. Over the years, Booker played with Jerry Garcia, Aretha Franklin, The Doobie Brothers, Dr. John, King Curtis, LaBelle and scores of other artists. His song Junco Partner was recorded by the Clash. He is the subject of the award winning 2013 documentary film, Bayou Maharajah The Tragic Genius of James Booker by Lila Keber.
