Diarrhea isn’t fun, especially for children. (In that case, diarrhea isn’t fun for Mom and Dad, either.) Diarrhea, and vomiting, can drain your child’s body of the water and electrolytes he or she needs to stay healthy. Estimates vary, but most agree about 60 percent of the human body is water, slightly higher for children. When illness saps a child’s fluid levels, it’s important to contact your healthcare provider and work together to get those fluids – and electrolytes – replenished right away.On tap: GoodSense Pediatric Electrolyte Solution. Recommended by pediatricians and comparable to Pedialyte, this ready-to-use product provides the same per-liter amounts of sodium, potassium, chloride, zinc, dextrose and calories. GoodSense Pediatric Electrolyte Solution restores body water and electrolytes – charged elements that conduct reactions and signals in the body – lost during diarrhea and vomiting, to help prevent dehydration. So, play it smart and keep some GoodSense Pediatric Electrolyte Solution on hand. You never know when your child might have an unexpected bout of diarrhea and/or vomiting.

USE UNDER MEDICAL SUPERVISION. Infants under 1 year of age: Consult doctor before using. Children 1 year of age and older: Offer solution every 1 to 4 hours. Child should drink 1 to 2 liters (32 to 64 fluid ounces) per day while diarrhea continues. If desired, refrigerate to chill.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?) Good Sense Pediatric electrolyte has a pretty good taste. I tried the grape with zinc. It's very easy to drink. The bottle seems well made and is easy to hold and pour.

The one thing I didn't like is the seal underneath the cap. It is hard to peel off even with the tabs and there seemed to be a plastic film left even after I removed the tab.

This is a 1 liter bottle and it says that you should drink it within 48 hours after opening and refrigerate. If its for a child the directions say to drink between 1 and 2 liters a day so it should not be an issue if taken as recommended. The bottle also compares this to Pedialyte and offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I would definitely recommend this over the more expensive name brand.
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?) Whenever someone in our household gets sick, we always go to the standby liquids - water, ginger ale, and Pedialyte. The only problem is that often when sick, kids don't want to drink water, ginger ale sometimes settles stomachs and sometimes not, and Pedialyte - while it works well - is often way too expensive. Good Sense Pedia Liquid is a good alternative to Pedialyte as it essentially is the same minus the brand name. The flavor is comparable to Pedialyte and it's essentially the same stuff at half the cost. Highly recommended.
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?) Lately my daughter and I have been sick for the flu. We both have not felt good and today was the first time the vomiting started. She vomited all over me. With me being sick as well, it was a hard task to clean up.

I had placed this in the refrigerator not hoping to use it anytime soon. However, I took it out today and it has been a lifesaver! Not only did my daughter drink it, I did as well! She said she enjoyed the flavor and I found it to be rather subtle myself.

I have used other Good Sense medicine and all but one, that was an adult one for me, did not work. In fact, my daughter will only take their child’s pain reliever in bubble gum flavor. She now refuses any other brand.

Good sense is a great choice and very cost effective. I am glad to know there are other options out there. I am now buying their products since they not only work, but are a great value!
