Eddie Pepitone, known to many as â€œThe Bitter Buddha,â€ comes across like some powerful alchemistâ€™s admixture of Doug Stanhope, Jamie Kilstein, and Lewis Black---or maybe itâ€™s a cross between classic, sardonic Bill Hicks and modern, relatable RenÃ© Hicks (minus the rollerskates). No matter how you try to define him, Pepitoneâ€™s already one step ahead: so deep into self-judgment that he can give a master lesson in heckling himself. A demonstration:
