This book is for those who are not yet collectors and are baffled by winter growing succulents. It sheds some light on why they dont grow in summer to many peoples frustration and loss. There is a brief description of thier habitat type which explains why they grow in winter and some discusion of the commonest plants found for sale.

There are twenty photos of some of the more popular winter mesembs and a lot of local and cultural information for growing the plants. Which is easy if you just observe a few key ideas.

Included are what to do with conophytum, chieridopsis, cephalophylum, argyroderma, dinteranthus and antimima. All wonderful plants with great flowers.

Many of the publications on these plants are hard to get hold of, or very expensive so this book forms a neat easily available solution at low cost.
