Material: Made from T10 steel, a high-carbon steel known for its durability and ability to hold a sharp edge.Clay Tempering A process where the blade is covered with clay and then heat-treated, resulting in a distinctive hamon (edge pattern).
Forging Technique/Heat Treatment: Hand-forged: The blade is hand-forged, showcasing the blacksmith's craftsmanship. The blade is a single steel construction, hand-forged and folded for added strength and durability.The blade undergoes high-temperature quenching to harden the edge and improve its cutting performance.
Dimensions: The katana has an overall length of 103 cm, a blade length of 72 cm, a handle length of 26 cm, a blade width of 3.2 cm, and a blade thickness of 0.7 cm.
Grinding/Sharpness: It features fifteen stages of hand grinding with Advanced Japanese Nugui polishing process, ensuring an exceptionally sharp edge and providing a mirror-like finish. The katana is extremely sharp, capable of effortlessly cutting through bamboo, small trees, and soft materials.
The scabbard is crafted from highland hardwood with intricate patterns hand-painted using the Makie technique, finished with a lacquer process on the surface, and adorned with hand-inlaid real horn accessories at the mouth and base of the sheath.
The Tsuka (Handle) core is wooden and it is the tightest traditional Japanese wrap way cover genuine Ray Skin with silk ito wrapped.
Fittings: The tsuba (guard) and kashira/fuchi menuki fittings are made of brass hand inlaid Silver, adding a touch of elegance and protection to the handle.
