- For DIY thermoforming: Holstex Carbon Fiber Textured Sheet is very similar to both Kydex and Boltaron in the way it forms when heated and molded around an object. Once cooled, this material will keep the shape of the item that was used to mold the shape into place. In its cooled state, it is very durable and light weight. It is used widely in thermoform holster making, cosplay costume creation, removable surface coverings, keel guard protectors, and much more.
- Easy to form: To use Holstex Carbon Fiber Textured Sheet, score and cut a piece slightly larger than the object being covered. Heat the material to a 300-375 degree Fahrenheit range and place over object. Using forming foam, press the material around the object and allow it to cool in position. Once cooled, remove and sand edges to desired shape.
