Healed from Chronic Lyme Disease: My Journey

This short memoir explores my journey from being infected with simple Lyme by the bite of a deer tick to having it morph into Chronic Lyme due to poor medical care administered by a country doctor. Like many sufferers of Chronic Lyme Disease I went down the path of repeated doses of harsh antibiotics only to discover that my condition was getting worse not better. In order to survive I had to "go solo" and abandon traditional western medicine and plunge into the world of alternative medicine. With no guide or direction I floundered and eventually hit a point of despair. With hope gone I turned to the only tool I had left, meditation and prayer.....and was given a healing dream. Two years later all traces of Chronic Lyme are gone. I wrote this as a gift to the Lyme community who provided support and encouragement so that those who have the courage to heal can know it is possible.
