The flat footbed has a cavity under the toes designed to hold a disposable Heat Factory Foot Warmer. Specially designed air channels under the footbed drive the airflow to the Foot Warmer, giving it the oxygen it needs to generate heat. Remove the foam insert to install the Heat Factory Footbed Warmer; after use install the foam insert back into the footbed cavity. One pair of Heat Factory Foot Warmers are included, each providing up to six hours of warmth (additional warmers are sold separately). The Footbed has a shoe size guide on the back making it easy to cut down and fit most shoes and boots.
