Heat Press Machine or Iron: a heat press machine will allow precise temperature and press time, however great results can also be achieved with an iron. After pressing, double-check that the vinyl has adhered well to the fabric; use a small craft iron as necessary

Settings: Carefully check your vinyl cutter's active settings to ensure proper setup. If, after making an initial cut you find that the cut depth isn't perfect, consider making incremental adjustments to your settings. The following are some common machine settings -

Silhouette - Silhouette ratchet blade on setting 1, Speed 10, Thickness 5
Cricut - middle 'Iron-on' dial setting
