The Hoco won’t be an everyday case for me, but rather an as needed one. I was very careful when inserting my iPad Air into this case because I’ve had a similar one before and accidentally tore the soft silicone. It’s not a difficult thing to do, but a little caution is in order. Some of the areas where there are cutouts, like next to the volume controls, can be fragile.
The case itself comes in a single section. It has a fabulous design and it’s quite striking with the red on black contrasting touches. It only takes one or two attempts to get it into this silicone case. The iPad really is protected and shockproof, provided it doesn’t land on the screen. Accidents do happen, but the Hoco offers excellent protection in a stylish way. This case is not intended to be like my Logitech, which has a cover, so if you try to make it something that it’s not, simply take a pass.
The only down side is the fit along the edges is a tad loose, and the home button covering is a little mushy when depressed m One of the best looking silicone iPad Air cases around. Ports are covered with hinged flaps that are there to stay. Buttons are covered and bumped out with seamless flexible silicone. A lot of value for your money here without the generic cookie cutter look. Case delivers a lot of impact resistance
After completely losing an iPad 3 to a drop without a case, and then shattering the screen on my iPad Air, which had a sub-par case, I w ent for the Honeycase due to its claims of being heavy duty.
The case is installed/removed easily. It covers all critical areas well and does not threaten to come off - the case is solid. Once on, it won't come off unless you want it come to off. It has holes for the front/back camera, rotation/vibrate switch, and mic. It has perfectly matched buttons for the lock, volume, and home button.
Charging for me requires I remove the case partially. The lightning connector is completely covered and is accessed by moving a flap of rubber. With my charging stand, the case needs to be removed on the bottom portion - not a big deal, the iPad Air goes for days without charging. If you're using just a cable, you're fine. Anything else and you'll probably need to remove the case.
I initially didn't like the cover over the home...
