I was watching the 3rd season, Then all of a sudden it is off PRIME. This is the 2nd series this has happened to me recently. This will be my last year of paying for prime. Amazon should treat their loyal customers better than this. Very disappointed.
Whether you've been a fan of the show since the beginning, or you're new to the world of Ted Mosby, I would highly recommend watching Season 1. If you're new to the show- this show is very relatable for the mid-20 to 30-somethings trying to navigate "grown up" life with a heavy dose of humor. To those who have been long time fans- go back and watch from the beginning. There's so much in there that you probably missed, and I definitely got a little teary in the pilot episode a couple of times (no spoilers for those of you haven't watched all the way through).
How many TV comedies can be called "Feel-Good" shows? More and more comedy on network TV is about misery. Failure. The bitter, cynical realities that allegedly lurk behind the bright, shining happy endings we've all grown up with. The generation that created and continues to embrace Reality TV prefers to look at the lives of others and say "Thank God that's not me" than to look at the world through someone else's eyes and say "Gee, I wish that could be me."
"How I Met Your Mother" looks like a conventional sitcom with its multi-camera shooting style and it sounds like a conventional sitcom with its omnipresent laugh track.
