- Five factors to consider before buying this HDTV wall mount; 1-The TV’s weight can’t exceed 77 lbs. 2-The distance between the mounting holes on the TV should be 16” or less(VESA 400x400 or less). 3- For drywall installation, the distance between the studs can't exceed 16", because the wall plate is 17" wide. 4- The Arm extends up to 15" away from the wall & folds back flat. 5- If the cable plugs are located on the back of the TV, make sure they won’t be blocked by the 17”X 6” front plate.
