The Super Large Ideal Ruff Weather Pet Door comes with dual flaps with enough space in between them to create an insulating air pocket. In door installations the air pocket can be up to 3 inches; in wall installations the air pocket can be up to a whopping 9 inches for maximum energy-efficiency. If high winds are also an issue in your region a wall-installation is your best bet.
