InLine Fabrication Double Quick Change Dock for Ultramount Quick Change Press Mounting System
The point of a quick change mount is QUICK CHANGES. In order for that to happen you need a place to store your other press or reloading tool. The single QC Dock provides a method of storing one such tool mounted to the wall in a secure fashion. The double QC Dock provides a method for storing two presses or other tools.
Mounting of either the Single QC Dock or Double QC Dock must be done with screws, bolts, wall fasteners appropriate to hold the weight of the press that will be attached. The Docks are strong enough to easily hold a Dillon 1050 with all the accessories. Your job is to securely mount the Dock to the wall. No matter what the drywall anchors say they are rated for, they are not a good choice.
Let’s say you alternate between using a Dillon 750 for bulk 5.56 reloads and a Forster Co-Ax for precision rifle hunting loads. A single QC Dock would provide storage for the press not currently in use. Then when the need changes. 30 seconds to unsecure the current press from the quick change base. 30 seconds to bring down and secure the other press in the quick change base and 30 seconds to secure the unneeded press into the single QC Dock.
You may have a broader array of options. The Dillion 750 for 5.56, the Hornady Lock n Load AP for bulk 9mm, the Forster Co-Ax for precision rifle hunting and a Hornady prep station for brass resizing. The QC base mount would hold the current use item (Hornady Prep center), the double QC could hold the Forster Co-Ax and the Square Deal B and the single could hold the Dillon 750. In under a minute or two, changing out and being back production is completely possible with the QC docks.
The Flush Mount Spacer is to be used with the Flush Mount when routing the table is not desired. The Flush Mount is designed for you to recess the mount into the table for a completely flush table top after installation. If that is not desired or possible, the spacer allows there to be room for the top plate tongue to engage and hold the press in place.
