Inland Craft's DB-100 band saw is the perfect workbench tool for cutting free-form cabochons, different shapes, organic curves, inside curves, stained glass pieces, mosaics, and more. It's also a great tool for coral fragging. This DB-100 includes a diamond band saw blade designed to wet saw glass, stone, semiprecious gems, tile, ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, silicon, plastics, fiberglass, fiberboard, leather, shells, and live coral. The saw body has a small footprint and is manufactured with rustproof, lightweight, structural-grade thermoplastic, making this band saw machine very portable and easy to travel with. Its 1/6th hp, 115v permanent magnet DC motor is variable speed, delivering speeds from 800rpm to 3,400rpm. The gravity-feed, coolant system delivers clean water to the band saw blade, keeping your blade properly lubricated while you saw. Integrated internal drain channels and drain tubes collect and funnel excess, dirty water away from the blade to prevent it from re-circulating throughout the saw. Its corrosion-resistant work surface measures a generous 9" X 12". This DB-100 band saw includes: 37.7" (96cm) stainless steel diamond band saw blade, complete instructions, and one-year manufacturer warranty. IMPORTANT PURCHASING NOTES: Maximum cutting material thickness is 3" for rocks/minerals, 1" for solid glass slabs, and 3" diameter for glass bottles. Band saw machines are optimized for cutting shapes and curves, so there is a large amount of "travel" in the band saw blade, which is necessary for cutting these shapes and curves. It is not designed to be used for cutting thick slabs of rough. If you are looking to cut thick slabs of rocks and minerals, we suggest a fixed-blade saw machine such as the Hi-Tech Diamond 6" Trim saw or Hi-Tech Diamond 10" Slab saw than this band saw machine.
